Once a working lighthouse, The Lighthouse B&B is located within Great Orme Country Park in Wales. The Lighthouse was constructed in 1862 by the Mersey Docks and Harbour Company who built a fortress like building using dressed limestone and vast bulks of Canadian pitch pine. On entering, one can see one of the most interesting rooms, the Keeper’s Hall, which has a unique 19-feet pitch pine panelling and gallery. Breakfast is taken in the North facing Victorian dining room, which allows guests to look down over a 360-feet vertical drop whilst enjoying the traditional Welsh breakfast. Accomodation option at The Lighthouse include: The Principal Keeper’s Suite, The Telegraph Room and The Lamp Room.
